Traveling & Staying on Track!

Are a lot of you traveling for the holidays? I’m going to Jamaica 🌴 with my family next month, and I am SO excited! I figured I would offer some advice when it comes to staying on track while you're rocking a bikini! ;)

••

Now I do expect you (and myself) to live a little.. enjoy some tasty foods and drinks.. and relax! BUT, the key here is moderation, lol... you don’t want to be miserable the whole trip!

••

So my advice here is to.. 1. Pack some snacks to eat during the day! I always bring things like single serving almonds packets, Quest bars, beef jerky, dried fruit, protein powder, and rice cakes!

••

2. Drink a ton of water during the day! So don’t forget your water bottle or blender bottle! Water is the best way to fight off cravings, stay fuller, and cleanse your body! Tea is also a good option 🍵 NOT CAFFEINE! It dehydrates you!

••

3. When eating out, opt for a meal that is high in protein. I typically get salmon, chicken, some sort of seafood, or possibly a SMALL steak 🤗 I then request a side salad with dressing on the side as well. Typically, you can look at the sides on the menu, and add them in to your meal, too. So I will order my protein, then get my side salad, and ask for an additional side of whatever veggies they offer. Or if I’m extra hungry I’ll see if I can get some plain rice or a plain potato. The thing here is you cannot be afraid to ASK! 🙃 ASK to have your meal prepped how you want it.. and usually they will accommodate. No butter or oil? Usually not a problem!

••

4. Stay active during the day.. go on walks with your family, or go explore! And bring some resistance bands with you. You can always do body weight workouts, resistance band exercises, and even “at home” routines that you find on YouTube! I have had some awesome workouts in hotel rooms before lol! 💪🏼 Heck, if you are super desperate, just think of gym class back in the day, and do warm ups like that.. v-sits, burpees, push ups, crunches, etc!

••

PS - TSA allows you to bring ANY foods you want on a plane, and you can even bring ice packs! The only “no go” items are liquids - like NUT BUTTER!❌
