Phormula-1: Great For Cooking?!
You may love protein powder as a post-workout shake, but did you know that it makes a great ingredient for cooking?? I love French Toast, but not how unhealthy it is :/ So I made a clean version with my protein powder!
Low Carb Cinnamon French Toast Recipe:
This is all you need...
1/2 scoop Phormula-1 CTC Protein Powder
2 egg whites
optional: stevia to taste
2 slices bread of choice (I used gluten-free bread)
To begin, wisk together the protein powder, egg whites, and stevia in a bowl to make a watery mix. Next, spray a skillet with Pam cooking spray, and turn it on to med-high heat! Lastly, soak your bread in the mix for about a minute, and then place it on your skillet and cook both sides thoroughly.
Toppings?
I suggest Walden Farms calorie-free syrup (NOT good for you but I have it in moderation) and then microwave some blueberries (they come out warm and gooey) and top the french toast with that!
