CARBS; They Are Not Evil
I am posting this to show you that carbs are not evil. Tons of women literally fear carbs because they assume eating a diet that is 30-45% carbs will keep them from staying/becoming lean. The "low carb diet" has become very popular recently, which doesn't help with the problem either. There have certainly been times where I have feared them as well. In my head, I questioned if eating more carbs would make me gain weight. But when it comes to weight loss or weight gain, what really matters is your calorie intake. Not your carb intake. So, recently, I switched around my diet. However, my calorie intake is pretty much the same (maybe 100 calories more, if that). And as you see in my pic above, I've added a lotttt of carbs and haven't gained a pound of fat. In my opinion, I almost feel like I look leaner since I added more carbs! And my weight on the scale hasn't budged. I just feel more satisfied, more energetic, and I am having awesome workouts, too! Carbs are essential for gaining muscle mass and for boosting your metabolism, so try to remember that next time you fear eating more of them!
